At the Grammy music awards, rapper Kendrick Lamar took home as many as four statuettes, while Bad Bunny and Lady Gaga won two each. However, on the most important night of the industry, all of them still have a chance to write their names into history.

Rapper Bad Bunny received a standing ovation after delivering a strong political message and criticizing the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids taking place across the country, which have divided America.

The three music heavyweights are hoping to take home the most coveted award for the first time — the Album of the Year statuette.

“Before thanking God, I’ll say this: ‘ICE out!’” Bad Bunny said.

Bad Bunny made the remark while accepting the award for Best Urban Music Album for Debí Tirar Más Fotos (I Should Have Taken More Photos).

“We are not savages, we are not animals, we are not foreigners; we are human beings and we are Americans,” said the 31-year-old Puerto Rican rapper and global superstar, who is also set to headline the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show.

It was a significant moment during an evening filled with spectacular performances, emotional speeches, and jokes from host comedian Trevor Noah. Notably, Noah hosted the Grammy Awards for the sixth time.

Kendrick Lamar won four awards in the rap categories, including Best Rap Album for GNX, while Lady Gaga won Grammy Awards for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Dance/Electronic Album.

“I want to say to women working in music that I know sometimes, when you’re in the studio with a group of men, it can be difficult. That’s why I encourage you to always listen to yourself and always fight for your ideas,” Lady Gaga said.

The Record of the Year award went to Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas O’Connell for the song Wildflower.

The award for Best New Artist was announced to go to British singer Olivia Dean.
