Animated Series Barbora Now Streaming on Go3

The animated series Barbora has premiered on the Go3 platform. The series is based on the children’s books by Zofia Stanecka, Marianna Oklejak, and Dorota Nowacka. Viewers are introduced to 13 episodes created in collaboration between Lithuanian and Polish creative teams. This adventure-filled cycle of stories invites children and their families into Barbora’s world – familiar, relatable, and full of everyday challenges. From the first visit to the dentist, to a forest picnic, or fashion experiments – the series subtly shows how even the simplest situations can turn into meaningful adventures.

A Distinctive Lithuanian Contribution: Director Ignas Meilūnas

Barbora is not only a fun sequence of adventures, but also a great example of international cooperation, carried out by Polish creators together with a large and talented Lithuanian team. A special point of pride is that one of the main directors of the series is Lithuanian filmmaker Ignas Meilūnas. His unique visual style and sensitive approach to the children’s world have become an integral part of the series. Lithuanian artists actively contributed to the animation, visual design, and set creation, ensuring the highest quality and uniqueness. The entire project was realized through close cooperation between creative teams from both countries, allowing the series to speak a universal language that children all over the world can recognize and love.

Earlier this year, the first five Barbora stories delighted audiences in cinemas, released as the feature film Barbora. Time for Adventures, which received excellent reviews. Now, continuing this creative journey, Barbora comes to home screens.

The plots of the series are rooted in situations familiar to children, yet each story subtly addresses themes such as emotions, boundaries, body acceptance, and independence. Although aimed at younger audiences, the series is created with respect for the child viewer – without didacticism, but with humor and artistic value. It’s not only an opportunity to enjoy fun adventures but also a chance to spark open family discussions about important life lessons.
